MSNBC’s Touré: Romney Engaging In The ‘Blank’ Of Obama

This election will end badly…using race as a defense of a blatantly Marxist politician will see war on the streets when he loses, as he will. Blacks voted for Obama by an overwhelming percentage, something like 90% of the black vote went to Obama, they voted for him for racist reasons, so when he loses they will be unable to concieve of him losing for any other reason except race. It is how they framed their decision to vote for him so naturally they will project that unto whites. They will not understand that for most of America his philosophy is a corrupt failed ideology that we thought we had dispensed with years ago with the failure of the Soviet Union. We are voting against his philosophy, not his race. We despise that we are called racists for not agreeing with his philosophy and it shouldn’t surprise anyone if that causes a white few Americans to turn their backs on the entire idea of improving race relations. Obama is corrupting the well of good feelings that might have been developing…he is doing this deliberately otherwise he would denounce idiocy like what was said by Toure and others. That is the Alinsky method, create chaos, overwhelm the system.

On Thursday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Cycle the group discussed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney‘s assertion that President Obama should “take [his] campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago.” Co-host Touré saw what he believes to be explicit racial connotations beneath what Romney was saying, calling it the “blank” of the campaign.

“That really bothered me,” he said. “You notice he said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us.”

“I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘Blank,’” Touré said to the apparent shock of his co-panelists. “You are not one of us, you are like the scary black man who we’ve been trained to fear.”

Green Shoots Got Your Green Shoots Right Here! Come and Get Them!

John Williams over at Shadow Stats takes a whip to the bullshit that Obama is spewing.

As for the United States, Mr. Obama said, “We share the view that the economy is strengthening, that we are into recovery, that it’s actually led by some interesting sectors like manufacturing.”

Shut up, bitch, let someone with brains talk. Please explain how we elected this asshole to the highest office in the land?  We ASKED for his bullshit…goddamnit. Anyway here is John Williams putting paid to those bullshit green shoots.

Contrary to consensus forecasts, I look for June payrolls to contract net of the census impact, which would mean a reported total payroll decline of 250,000 or more versus current expectations of a 70,000 decline. Where a portion of the reported decline in the May unemployment rate to 9.7% from 9.9% in April was due to the census circumstance, an uptick in the June unemployment rate is a good bet. Given distortions in recent seasonal adjustments, and with reporting catch-up, the June unemployment rate could hit 10.0% or more.  No. 305: Economic Update, GDP Revision, Durable Goods

No matter how you feel about Alaska’s former governor, everyone has an opinion. Today, America is arguably in peril from forces potentially as destructive as Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. ‘Those who (laughingly) “represent” us in Congress are vulnerable for the oldest of reasons: they do not have clean hands.’

Read this analysis of the situation our politicians find themselves in after today’s march and tell me it doesn’t ring true!

From Garry Hamilton in e-mail originally and now posted at his wife’s site… this must read:

It should be remembered that in any public demonstration of activism, the percentage of participation — from within the larger group of like-minded constituents — is not only typically single digits, but down at one or two percent.

If you can muster a million actual people, physically present, there will be AT LEAST between 50 and 100 people who would have gone or wanted to go but were prevented from so doing by logistics. And current estimates put the number in attendance at two million or more.

Meaning that their sentiments are shared by anywhere from 100 million to 200 million people. Of whom, I would reckon the solid majority are registered voters.

If I am a member of either House of Congress, these numbers tell me something about my future, and give me pause to contemplate the weight of the two primary threats to my career: “shall I succumb to the blackmail and extortion from the Administration, or cave in to the wishes of my constituents?”

Those who (laughingly) “represent” us in Congress are vulnerable for the oldest of reasons: they do not have clean hands.

You cannot threaten an honest man. You have no leverage. The best you can do is simple thuggery. And against a man of integrity and courage, you don’t even have that.

All but the most arrogant among our legislators have to know, now, the mind of those they presume to represent.

All but the most hubris-polluted will know that the usual shrug-and-dismiss protocol obtains no traction.

Even with the abetting silence of the Fourth Estate, they must know they have no cover.

What remains to be seen is who among them shall offer contrition and seek reconciliation with those whose hand holds the ballot.

I suspect — if what seems actually IS — that those who bluster that it wasn’t their fault, or that they didn’t know, or, indeed, that they were right (in spite of the evidence) will be sitting out the remainder of the game from the next election forward.

I only pray there are enough people left who don’t want the job to replace those husks of rotting souls who have believed that their election was the winning ticket to the ultimate privilege lottery.

Brutally Honest: ‘Those who (laughingly) “represent” us in Congress are vulnerable for the oldest of reasons: they do not have clean hands.’

As Glenn Beck is so very fond of saying…We Surround Them!

Oh and watch this…really stop what you are doing and watch it.

Obama heckled by SC congressman Joe Wilson

WASHINGTON — The nastiness of August’s health care debate reached into the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday as President Barack Obama tried to move his reform plan forward.

South Carolina Republican Rep. Joe Wilson shouted "You lie!" after Obama had talked about illegal immigrants.

It wasn’t the only interruption during Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress in the House of Representatives. Earlier, Republicans laughed when Obama acknowledged that there are still significant details to be worked out before a health care overhaul can be passed.

Wilson’s outburst caused Obama to pause briefly before he went on with his speech. Overhead in the visitors’ gallery, first Lady Michelle Obama shook her head from side to side.

Facebook | Sarah Palin: Concerning the "Death Panels" This is going to leave a mark. Sarah is smacking this socialist shit of a President up around the head like a red haired step child…

Yesterday President Obama responded to my statement that Democratic health care proposals would lead to rationed care; that the sick, the elderly, and the disabled would suffer the most under such rationing; and that under such a system these “unproductive” members of society could face the prospect of government bureaucrats determining whether they deserve health care.
The President made light of these concerns. He said:

“Let me just be specific about some things that I’ve been hearing lately that we just need to dispose of here. The rumor that’s been circulating a lot lately is this idea that somehow the House of Representatives voted for death panels that will basically pull the plug on grandma because we’ve decided that we don’t, it’s too expensive to let her live anymore….It turns out that I guess this arose out of a provision in one of the House bills that allowed Medicare to reimburse people for consultations about end-of-life care, setting up living wills, the availability of hospice, etc. So the intention of the members of Congress was to give people more information so that they could handle issues of end-of-life care when they’re ready on their own terms. It wasn’t forcing anybody to do anything.” [1]

The provision that President Obama refers to is Section 1233 of HR 3200, entitled “Advance Care Planning Consultation.” [2] With all due respect, it’s misleading for the President to describe this section as an entirely voluntary provision that simply increases the information offered to Medicare recipients. The issue is the context in which that information is provided and the coercive effect these consultations will have in that context.
Section 1233 authorizes advanced care planning consultations for senior citizens on Medicare every five years, and more often “if there is a significant change in the health condition of the individual … or upon admission to a skilled nursing facility, a long-term care facility… or a hospice program." [3] During those consultations, practitioners must explain “the continuum of end-of-life services and supports available, including palliative care and hospice,” and the government benefits available to pay for such services. [4]

Now put this in context. These consultations are authorized whenever a Medicare recipient’s health changes significantly or when they enter a nursing home, and they are part of a bill whose stated purpose is “to reduce the growth in health care spending.” [5] Is it any wonder that senior citizens might view such consultations as attempts to convince them to help reduce health care costs by accepting minimal end-of-life care? As Charles Lane notes in the Washington Post, Section 1233 “addresses compassionate goals in disconcerting proximity to fiscal ones…. If it’s all about alleviating suffering, emotional or physical, what’s it doing in a measure to “bend the curve” on health-care costs?” [6]
As Lane also points out:

Though not mandatory, as some on the right have claimed, the consultations envisioned in Section 1233 aren’t quite “purely voluntary,” as Rep. Sander M. Levin (D-Mich.) asserts. To me, “purely voluntary” means “not unless the patient requests one.” Section 1233, however, lets doctors initiate the chat and gives them an incentive — money — to do so. Indeed, that’s an incentive to insist.
Patients may refuse without penalty, but many will bow to white-coated authority. Once they’re in the meeting, the bill does permit “formulation” of a plug-pulling order right then and there. So when Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) denies that Section 1233 would “place senior citizens in situations where they feel pressured to sign end-of-life directives that they would not otherwise sign,” I don’t think he’s being realistic.
[7]

Even columnist Eugene Robinson, a self-described “true believer” who “will almost certainly support” “whatever reform package finally emerges”, agrees that “If the government says it has to control health-care costs and then offers to pay doctors to give advice about hospice care, citizens are not delusional to conclude that the goal is to reduce end-of-life spending.” [8]

So are these usually friendly pundits wrong? Is this all just a “rumor” to be “disposed of”, as President Obama says? Not according to Democratic New York State Senator Ruben Diaz, Chairman of the New York State Senate Aging Committee, who writes:
Section 1233 of House Resolution 3200 puts our senior citizens on a slippery slope and may diminish respect for the inherent dignity of each of their lives…. It is egregious to consider that any senior citizen … should be placed in a situation where he or she would feel pressured to save the government money by dying a little sooner than he or she otherwise would, be required to be counseled about the supposed benefits of killing oneself, or be encouraged to sign any end of life directives that they would not otherwise sign. [9]

Of course, it’s not just this one provision that presents a problem. My original comments concerned statements made by Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a health policy advisor to President Obama and the brother of the President’s chief of staff. Dr. Emanuel has written that some medical services should not be guaranteed to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens….An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia.” [10] Dr. Emanuel has also advocated basing medical decisions on a system which “produces a priority curve on which individuals aged between roughly 15 and 40 years get the most chance, whereas the youngest and oldest people get chances that are attenuated.” [11]

President Obama can try to gloss over the effects of government authorized end-of-life consultations, but the views of one of his top health care advisors are clear enough. It’s all just more evidence that the Democratic legislative proposals will lead to health care rationing, and more evidence that the top-down plans of government bureaucrats will never result in real health care reform.

Allahpundit’s Exit Question My Answer: Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity’s guiding principles–what the church calls the “Black Value System”–included a “Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness.’

Allah you rock but you might just want to step back a bit and consider that the One is actively attempting to destroy this country. You have NO idea what he is…and neither do any of the rest of us. But consider his alliances in the past.

Exit question via Karl: I thought our big problem with The One was that he spent far too long subscribing to Rev. Wright’s nutbar Black Liberation Theology. Which is he, a radical Muslim or a radical Christian? Hot Air » Blog Archive » Frank Gaffney: Hey, maybe Obama’s a Muslim

Well I guess this would be good question except for the fact that Reverend Wright was indeed an ex-muslim. New Republic take it away!

From Wright and others, Obama learned that part of his problem as an organizer was that he was trying to build a confederation of churches but wasn’t showing up in the pews on Sunday. When pastors asked him the inevitable questions about his own spiritual life, Obama would duck them uncomfortably. A Reverend Philips put the problem to him squarely when he learned that Obama didn’t attend services. “It might help your mission if you had a church home,” he told Obama. “It doesn’t matter where, really. What you’re asking from pastors requires us to set aside some of our more priestly concerns in favor of prophesy. That requires a good deal of faith on our part. It makes us want to know just where you’re getting yours from.”

After many lectures like this, Obama decided to take a second look at Wright’s church. Older pastors warned him that Trinity was for “Buppies”–black urban professionals–and didn’t have enough street cred. But Wright was a former Muslim and black nationalist who had studied at Howard and Chicago, and Trinity’s guiding principles–what the church calls the “Black Value System”–included a “Disavowal of the Pursuit of Middleclassness.’”

The crosscurrents appealed to Obama. He came to believe that the church could not only compensate for the limitations of Alinsky-style organizing but could help answer the nagging identity problem he had come to Chicago to solve. “It was a powerful program, this cultural community,” he wrote, “one more pliant than simple nationalism, more sustaining than my own brand of organizing.”

Well gee I guess O could be a muslim. Hell he is probably whatever he needs to be to take power. And that is actually, impossibly worse than being a muslim. Btw Frank Gaffney is no one’s fool when it comes to identifying muslim/terror sympathizers, witness the terrific hit he put on Grover Norquist. He was right about Grover when no one else was talking about it. We might better consider his words rather than to dismiss them outright.

Did I say 250,000…Yea sure I meant 70,000…Yea yea 70 grand…that sounds right…Not going to tax anyone under 70,000 grand…for a couple…err a Family….related family…err extended family…neighbors. Yea thats right…

If we actually vote this putz into office we will get exactly what the stupid half of this country deserves, a lying communist stack of crap. May I opt out?

Well, you know the problem was is that they weren’t targeted at the short term stimulus of the economy. What we should have done is if we were going to initiate tax cuts, and I’m a strong supporter of tax cuts for working families like the Earned Income Tax Credit, to initiate things like cuts in the Social Security tax, and other taxes that are really burdensome on families that are making 50, 60, 70 thousand dollars a year. Those tax cuts I think would have stimulated the economy.

But the money that we’ve given up directly affects Illinois in its potential, in terms of job growth because it means that transportation dollars are not in the state of Illinois, heath care dollars are not in the state of Illinois. There are enormous needs around the state that we could be using that money for.
